An annual well woman’s visit from a naturopathic approach includes a preventative physical and gyn exam with a pap. In addition the menstrual history and present symptoms will be reviewed to distinguish common complaints from normal healthy cycles. Symptoms such as breast tenderness, PMS, heavy bleeding, and moderate to severe cramping may be common but not optimal and can be seen as your body communicating its needs. Balance can be reestablished through draining excess and building up deficiencies. Naturopathic tools include cleansing, homeopathic drainage, hydrotherapy, herbal formulas and nutritional therapy. For women with severe cramping, endometriosis, heavy bleeding and debilitating PMS, Dr. Bonnie will work with a health care team which may include acupuncture, abdominal massage, cranio-sacral, counseling, spiritual guidance and/or constitutional homeopathy.
